At Rio Grande Retreat Resort, located in Kodaikanal, we understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent for all guests.
1. Standard Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 7 days or more before check-in date – Eligible for 100% refund (excluding payment gateway charges, if applicable).
- Cancellations made 3–6 days before check-in – Eligible for 50% refund of the booking amount.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of check-in – No refund will be provided.
- No-shows will be charged 100% of the booking amount.
2. Peak Season & Holiday Policy
During peak seasons, long weekends, and public holidays:
- Cancellations made 10 days before check-in – Eligible for 50% refund.
- Cancellations made within 10 days of check-in – No refund.
(Management reserves the right to define peak dates.)
3. Refund Process
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days from the date of cancellation approval.
- The refund will be credited to the original mode of payment.
- Processing time may vary depending on the bank or payment provider.
4. Booking Modifications
- Date changes are subject to availability.
- Rate differences may apply if rescheduling to a different season or room category.
- Modification requests must be made at least 5 days prior to check-in.
5. Early Departure
Guests who choose to check out before their scheduled departure date will not be eligible for a refund for unused nights.
6. Force Majeure
In case of natural disasters, government travel restrictions, or unforeseen emergencies, management may offer rescheduling options at its discretion.
